Conversations with a GP can be tricky as I often attend medical appointments with my mum or dad, and they often speak to them but are getting better at asking me why I have come to see them. Just a few months ago went to see a GP at my local medical centre, they were not my regular GP. All her questions were not at me but at my mum. She even told me off for not listening to her as she thought I was playing a game on my iPad when I was using my device to ask her a question and tell her how I was feeling. She then said I was a good boy when I opened my mouth for her to check my throat. She then said that I was such a good boy that she would give me a lollipop. I felt not good and ashamed that she did not to listen or learn about me even though we told her I could understand her and that I use a device to communicate. My mum reported this issue, and we got an apology from the GP centre.
